In Etobicoke, this is easily the best coffee shop before you get downtown. They roast their own beans, on site, which are available for sale. They have a rotating menu of what's available on drip, espresso, pour over, etc. And they make some flavored drinks too, sometimes a special seasonal flavour, as well.
The beans on offer come from passionate farmers and the roasts lean towards the lighter side, offering brighter, more complex flavours. I tend to like washed, Ethiopian, light roast beans i have never been disappointed. I just finished a bag of Bolivian gesha, which was excellent! Plus the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable about the varietals, altitude, and process.
This is my regular, go-to spot close to home. The prices are much better than similar quality shops downtown. They are also along the lakeshore bike trail, so it's popular with cyclists, and they offer a discount when you're on your bike.
