You will need:
Coffee, Water, V60 brewer, Kettle, Digital Scale, Timer, Hario-style 02 filter, Carafe, Spoon
Seth doesn’t preheat the brewer or rinse the filter.
⇒ Weigh & grind 30g of coffee.
⇒ Grind slightly finer than you’d normally consider medium-fine.
⇒ Place the ground coffee evenly in the brewer.
⇒ Make sure the top, called the "bed," is flat.
⇒ Tare the scale
*The following steps occur in succession. Do not wait between steps.*
⇒ Start a timer.
⇒ Pour 60 ml of water for the bloom phase.
⇒ Stir the coffee bed to ensure all the grounds are wet.
⇒ Pour 190 ml of water.
⇒ Stir the coffee bed again.
⇒ Pour 250ml of water.
⇒ Stir the coffee bed again.
*The aim is to finish the above steps around the 1:15 mark.*
⇒ Wait for the water to draw down
⇒ Ideally, the total brew time should be somewhere between 2:30 and 2:45.
If it goes to 3:00, consider grinding slightly coarser next time.
