Cerrado Mineiro is a large and predominantly flat region in the state of Minas Gerais in southeastern Brazil. According to The Cerrado Coffee Growers Federation (CCGF), this region accounts for 12.7% of Brazil’s annual production.
This coffee is sourced from Yuki Minami and her Olhos D'agua farm in Rio Paranaiba, Cerrado Mineiro. The farm belongs to her family since 1955. At that time, the land was a dense field with a large water source. Dozens of submerged springs (olhos d’água) gave rise to the name and today form 3 lagoons. Its land has more than 280 hectares, with more than 50% of the area preserved, and continuous reforestation work is made in the native forest.
The resulting cup reminds us of brownie & almond.
