Mogiana Decaf

The Mogiana region, split between the states of São Paulo and Minas Gerais, is the most renowned of three major Brazilian coffee growing regions. This region has rolling hills and uneven terrain, which leads to farms being small to medium in size.

This coffee comes from various farmers in Mogiana. Over the past decade, producers in the region have made a concerted effort to produce specialty coffees that reveal the full character of the region's terroir.

The ethyl acetate decaffeination process uses fermented sugarcane molasses as a solvent to release the caffeine from the green coffee beans.

The resulting cup is reminiscent of molasses, nuts & bittersweet chocolate.
