The Department of Antioquia is located in the central Northwestern part of Colombia with a narrow section that borders the Caribbean Sea. Most of its territory is mountainous with some valleys, much of which is part of the Andes mountain range.
This coffee is sourced from a community in and around the town of Jericó, Antioquia. The town, which has a strong catholic tradition, is home to Colombia’s only canonized saint, Madre Laura, who is honoured in the name of this coffee. Made up of coffee beans from 120+ farmers, each lot was cupped and analyzed to meet the perfectly balanced profile that best represents the town and its spirit.
The resulting cup reminds us of brown sugar, grapefruit and nougat.
