Urubamba is a province in the Cusco region in the southern highlands of Peru. Inhabitants of the province are mainly of indigenous Quechua descent. It is home to the 15th-century Inca citadel of Machu Picchu.

This coffee is sourced from various farmers in the village of Machupicchu, Urubamba. The coffee is shade grown at high altitudes in order to produce a denser bean and a more complex cup. In addition, the producers have made a remarkable effort to produce a high quality bean by only using sustainable farming practices.

This coffee was decaffeinated through the Swiss Water process. The caffeine was extracted through a caffeine-free green coffee solution while retaining the flavour components in the coffee beans. This process results in coffee that is 99.9% caffeine-free.
