Los Papales

Jinotega is a northern department of Nicaragua. It is host to the Bosawas Biosphere Reserve, the largest of its kind in Central America and is largely unexplored to this day.

This coffee is sourced from the Angelina Lopez family and Finca Los Papales in Jinotega. The estate has been in the family for over century and to this day grandparents, children and grandchildren continue to manage the estate together. The coffee is wet and dry milled on the estate’s premises in order to better manage quality control.

The resulting cup reminds us of butterscotch and red apple.
