A cooperative that stands out. Founded in the wake of the Tanzanian Cooperatives Act of 2003, the Iyenga AMCOS today has 193 registered members and raises funds from over 500 farmers. Most members are within walking distance of the washing station and during harvest, the group organizes transportation to ensure timely pulping. The cooperative is renowned for its management and quality and won the Taste of Harvest competition in 2019 with their AA and PB coffees.
