Caldas is a central department of Colombia and is part of the Colombian Coffee-Growers Axis. It is famous for growing and producing the majority of the country's production.

This coffee is sourced from the Pelaez Family and their Laderas Del Tapias Estate in the municipality of Neira in Caldas. The estate is separated into four different farming plots. This particular lot comes from the Villa Ines plot. The farm employs between 15 and 20 people permanently and receives up to 120 employees during harvesting season.

The natural process gives berry, vanilla and red grape notes to this coffee.
