Estrella Divina

Cajamarca is a northern department of Peru that is part of the Andes Mountain Range and has a portion of its territory in the Amazon Rainforest. It also shares a border with Ecuador.

This coffee is sourced from 16 smallholder farmers in La Coipa, Cajamarca. With an average farm size of 1-3 hectares, the group has banded together under the name Estrella Divina to have better chances of getting their crops to market. In order to support quality, the farmers receive training on good agricultural practices and post-harvest techniques as well as quality assessments, market access and financing.

The resulting cup reminds us of dark chocolate, orange zest and caramel.
