Minas Gerais is a state in Southeastern Brazil who's total land area is larger than Metropolitan France. It is the main coffee growing region of the country, producing about 74% of the national total.
This coffee is sourced from the Garcia family at Fazenda Jaguara in Campo das Vertentes, Minas Gerais. The history of Jaguara began in 2001 when Antonio Wander, an agronomist, and two friends decided to start coffee cultivation. In 2013, Antonio's son, André Luiz, along with Natalia, took over the 90-hectare farm where they implemented sustainable planting techniques by utilizing natural resources efficiently.
The resulting cup reminds us of toasted almond and dark chocolate.
