Nariño is a southwestern department of Colombia bordered by Ecuador and the Pacific Ocean. The volcanic soil from the Andes gives this region a strong agricultural sector. The Andean highlands have ideal coffee growing condition, whereas the Pacific lowlands' main crop is banana.
This coffee is sourced from a small community of farmers around Berruecos, Nariño: Antonio Andrade, Jose Marie Ahumada, Luz Mery Berna, Hector Salazar, Mr. Rosalia, Dona Celina, Don Jaime, Don Pedro, Don Segundo, Don Pablo. Though made up of ten different harvests, this community lot is strictly made up of Caturra varietals.
The resulting cup reminds us of pistachio, caramel and chamomille.
